[COVID-19] The UNTOLD Epidemic

Dear Turapür Today Reader,

The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t going away anytime soon, but it’s starting to finally feel like life is getting back to normal.

Many of Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, hospitalizations continue to decrease, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently recommended that fully vaccinated people do NOT need to wear masks indoors.

This is all VERY welcome news!

But what if I told that while the world was doing its best to eliminate the spread of COVID-19, an untold epidemic slipped right through our hands?

And a staggering two-thirds of ALL adults are now living with it!

According to an international research study, a jaw-dropping 66% of the general population is now dealing with symptoms of hand dermatitis… and for many it’s happening for the first time in their lives.

The culprit?

It turns out that this skin epidemic is related to over-washing hands during the COVID-19 pandemic!

In other words, efforts to keep hands “too clean” lead to symptoms of hand dermatitis for millions of people around the world… symptoms that include dry skin, red blotches, lesions, and even blistering

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, less than 3% of the population had a history of hand dermatitis.

While keeping your hands clean and germ-free is critical to stop the spread of COVID-19, over-doing it with harsh antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers can zap your skin’s natural moisture, which prevents skin cells from ‘replenishing’ and can lead to hand dermatitis.

But here’s the good news.

The symptoms of hand dermatitis are completely fixable… and in many cases NATURALLY.

First off, you should not STOP washing your hands. Washing your hands before and after meals, after using the restroom, and when out in public is one of the most effective methods to stopping the spread of viruses.

You’ll just want to make sure you’re drying your hands thoroughly to ensure any lingering soap doesn’t dry onto your skin’s surface.

You can also apply lotion to your hands after washing them to help your skin retain its moisture. When it comes to lotion, it’s best to avoid lotions with a lot of dyes or processed ‘scents.’ They smell good, but those chemicals can dry out your skin when used too much.

If you’re experiencing severe symptoms of hand dermatitis, be sure to consult with a dermatologist.
