According to a study published in the journal Sleep, Alzheimer’s-like amyloid plaques have been found in the brains of people with severe sleep apnea.

In the new study, plaques were found to develop in the same place (the hippocampus) and spread in the same way in the brains of people with obstructive sleep apnea as they do in Alzheimer’s.
And folks with more severe sleep apnea were more likely to have a greater plaque-buildup.
But there is good news.
You see, even if you have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea, there are natural ways to STOP its progression that can keep your memory in tip-top shape.
The conventional treatment for sleep apnea is wearing a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). But if you wear a CPAP at night, you know how bulky, uncomfortable (and hard-to-clean) they can be.
But researchers have honed in on a dietary supplement called yohimbine as a new approach to stop sleep apnea.
Yohimbe is a dietary supplement derived from tree bark that could provide a more comfortable alternative to the CPAP machine.
