Can’t Sleep? You May Be Getting This…

There’s no worse feeling in the world than getting a bad night’s rest.

Heck, just one restless night can make you feel like the walking dead.

But for the millions of Americans that suffer from various sleep disorders like insomnia, a bad night’s rest doesn’t just happen occasionally… it happens ALL THE TIME!

Did you know a whopping one in four Americans develop insomnia each year? That’s nearly 25% of the adult population that helplessly lays in bed each and every night unable to sleep!

Now it turns out that sleep disorders like insomnia can lead to much more than feeling like you need to guzzle a pot of coffee just to function.

You see, according to new research, insomnia can now lead to life-threatening DIABETES!

Researchers in Sweden have found that people suffering from insomnia INCREASE their risk for type-2 diabetes by a whopping 17 percent!

In other words, even if you watch what you eat and get plenty of exercise, the risk of developing diabetes can STILL happen… all because you’re not getting enough shut-eye!

But there’s good news…

If you’re lacking in the sleep department, there are plenty of NATURAL ways you can start getting a good night’s rest… and stave off the risk of diabetes!

If you’re having trouble falling asleep, consider taking a vitamin D supplement.

A large percentage of the U.S. population is low in vitamin D (a.k.a ‘The Sunshine Vitamin’). Low vitamin D levels can lead to insomnia and other sleep disorders.

And there’s no harm in taking a little melatonin to help get you into that optimal sleep ‘zone.’

Melatonin is a hormone in your body that plays a role in sleep and as a dietary supplement it is often used to help folks that have trouble sleeping.

Melatonin can be found at most health food stores and many online retailers.

Another sleep solution that often gets overlooked is the setup of your room… particularly any ‘distractions’ in the room that contribute to poor sleep.

Television, smartphones, tablets, and even clock radios that are too bright can interfere with your ability to fall and stay asleep. If you need to have your cell phone by your bed, change the settings to only receive messages that are an emergency.
