You see, potatoes are loaded with potassium. And increasing dietary potassium from foods like potatoes helps to reduce your sodium retention. In fact, the study found that eating more potatoes even resulted in a greater drop in systolic blood pressure than taking potassium supplements.
Sounds like a tasty way to help keep your blood pressure in check, doesn’t it?!
Again, this doesn’t mean you should start eating French fries at every meal… but it does mean you shouldn’t feel guilty for indulging in potato dishes every now and again.
