A Dementia Warning Sign In Your EYES?!

Dear Turapür Today Reader,

What’s the only thing harder than coming to grips with a dementia diagnosis?

Detecting it early!

You see, because there’s no cure for this life-shattering disease, most mainstream docs can only catch it AFTER it’s already taken hold of your memories… identity… and independence.

But that could soon change.

Because according to some new research, it may finally be possible to pick up on a warning sign of dementia.

It’s a sign that could be lurking IN YOUR EYES!

Here’s what we know, and how it could change dementia care in the future.

According to a national research study of more than 5,000 older adults, with the eye disease retinopathy were at increased risk of developing symptoms of dementia.

Retinopathy is a disease the retina, the light-sensing tissue at the back of your eye. It can lead to vision changes, such as trouble reading or seeing objects from far away. As the disease progresses, it can cause the blood vessels in your eyes to leak, causing visual disturbances like dark spots.

Retinopathy has long been linked as a precursor to stroke… but now researchers believe this eye disease could lead to problems with your brain and memory. Including symptoms of dementia!

The study found that people with tell-tale signs of retinopathy were 70% more likely to report memory problems (including dementia) later in life than people who DIDN’T have the eye disease.

I realize this news could be jarring… especially if you have a history of eye problems.

But there are steps you can take NOW to fend off retinopathy and potentially reduce your chances of developing dementia later in life.

The first thing you should do is continue to get regular eye exams. Annual eye exams are the best way to get an ‘inside’ look at what’s happening with your eyes… especially with your retina and blood vessels.

This will ensure that any irregularities with your eyes are caught early, along with a treatment plan to keep your eyes healthy.

You can also take a vitamin B1 supplement (aka thiamine) to support eye health. Vitamin B1 is an important nutrient for the health of your eyes as it helps reduce the risk of getting cataracts, and even inflammatory eye conditions that can lead to blindness.

Vitamin B1 supplements can be found at most health food stores or online retailers and usually cost less than $10 per bottle. If you do choose to start supplementing with vitamin B1, be sure to stock to the recommended dosage on the label.
