According to a national research study of more than 5,000 older adults, with the eye disease retinopathy were at increased risk of developing symptoms of dementia.

The study found that people with tell-tale signs of retinopathy were 70% more likely to report memory problems (including dementia) later in life than people who DIDN’T have the eye disease.
