Conquer Heart Disease with Your SWEET TOOTH?! (Amazing!)

You know how important it is to take care of your heart.

And you want to do it naturally and WITHOUT prescription drugs.

You exercise regularly… you eat well… and chances are you maybe even take a heart-healthy supplement like omega-3 fatty acids.

But sometimes… you just want to indulge in something ‘bad’ WITHOUT worrying that it’s going to land you on an operating table.

Researchers now say eating chocolate at least once a week can improve overall blood vessel health, REDUCING the risk of heart disease.

In fact, researchers found that chocolate eaters had an EIGHT-PERCENT lower risk of developing heart disease than those who passed on the chocolate.

Any kind of reduced risk of heart disease sounds pretty good, right?!

I’ve frequently discussed the many health benefits of eating chocolate before (in moderation, of course).

But this latest study hones in on how chocolate is beneficial to your blood vessel health – something that is often overlooked.

You see, blood vessel health is extremely important. When healthy and operating properly, blood vessels transport blood cells, nutrients, and oxygen to the tissues of your body. They also take waste and carbon dioxide away from your tissues.

And according to this latest research, chocolate contains nutrients such as flavonoids, methylxanthines, polyphenols and stearic acid… all of which reduce inflammation, and allow your vessels to pump the optimal amount of blood to your heart.

Now you’re probably asking yourself… ‘what chocolate is best?’

First of all, be sure to eat chocolate in moderation. Remember, all it takes is a small serving of chocolate once-a-week for optimal heart health.

But when I’m craving something sweet, I opt for dark chocolate.

Made from the seed of the cocoa tree, dark chocolate is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that can positively affect your heart.

The compounds specific to dark chocolate are highly protective against LDL cholesterol (this is the “bad” cholesterol).

When I shop for dark chocolate, I look for the quality stuff. It contains less sugar and provides the most heart-healthy bang for your buck.

If you’re on the hunt for dark chocolate, read the label to make sure it has at least 70% (or higher) cocoa content.
