The ‘Sweet’ Secret to an A+ Heart (Delicious!)
Dear Turapür Today Reader,
You know how important it is to take care of your heart – and at EVERY stage of life.
You exercise regularly… you eat well… take a heart-healthy supplement like omega-3 fatty acids… and try to avoid those risky mainstream heart drugs.
But what if I told you there was something else you could be eating to help keep your heart bulletproof?
And I’m not talking about some boring, bland, tasteless food… I’m talking about one of the most DELICIOUS foods on the planet.
What’s this ‘sweet’ secret to an A+ heart? CHOCOLATE!
According to research from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, folks who ate one or more servings of chocolate per week, decreased their chances of developing heart disease by a whopping 10%!
That’s right folks… chocolate is extremely beneficial for your heart!
So, what makes chocolate so heart-healthy?
According to the latest research, chocolate contains many beneficial nutrients — called flavonoids — that may lower your inflammation levels and increase your good (HDL) cholesterol. These are two of the key drivers behind heart disease.
But before you go dipping your hands into the candy jar… it’s important to know that not all chocolate is good for you.
You see, milk chocolate products are chock-full of extra sugar. And white chocolate? It’s not even chocolate at all!
So what type of chocolate is best for your heart?
My go-to chocolate is dark chocolate.
This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
Are we literally FEEDING cancer cells by putting this one food on our dinner plates?
This is important. THIS one food could be growing cancer cells.
And here’s where it gets interesting... as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death -- and die out by the thousands.
Skeptical? See the evidence here.
Made from the seed of the cocoa tree, dark chocolate is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that can positively affect your heart.
The compounds specific to dark chocolate are highly protective against LDL cholesterol (this is the “bad” cholesterol).
One study of nearly 500 men found that the cocoa in dark chocolate REDUCED the risk of death from heart disease by a whopping 50% over 15 years!
And another study showed that eating dark chocolate more than five times per week lowered the risk of heart disease by 57%!
If that’s not a reason to eat chocolate… I don’t know what is!
When I shop for dark chocolate, I look for the quality stuff. It contains less sugar and provides the most heart-healthy bang for your buck.
If you’re on the hunt for dark chocolate, read the label to make sure it has at least 70% (or higher) cocoa content.
There’s also this handy guide on how to find the best dark chocolate out there.
