Yum! Easy Snack CUTS OFF Colon Cancer

Colon cancer’s no joke.  

It’s one of those diseases virtually ANYONE can get… and it’s a diagnosis that can completely CHANGE YOUR LIFE. 

Because this deadly cancer is often detected late – only AFTER subtle symptoms appear – treatment can be incredibly harsh and taxing. Suddenly, you’re undergoing experimental surgeries and taking body-wrecking meds… paying bill after bill after bill…

In a report published earlier this month, Harvard University researchers identified the one common snack, a sweet and creamy midday pick-me-up, that can STOP deadly colon cancer and SPARE you from suffering… 

And the best part? 

You can get it virtually EVERYWHERE. 

I’m talking about yogurt. 

In this study, published in the journal Gut, researchers studied dietary habits and medical data from more than 80,000 health professionals, all of whom underwent lower bowel endoscopies before 2012 

And they stumbled across something interesting. 

While these scientists identified close to 14,000 total adenomas (precancerous growths) in participants’ bowels, they discovered that men who ate more yogurt had a lower risk of developing them! 

Specifically, men who consumed two or more servings of yogurt per week were an astounding 19 PERCENT less likely to develop these growths! 

Plus, even if one of these men DID develop an adenoma, researchers observed that high yogurt consumption made these growths LESS DANGEROUS! 

Two or more servings per week was shown to lower the odds of these growths developing into deadly tumors by 26 percent… 

And that’s more than ONE-QUARTER of your risk… just GONE! 

According to experts, these cancer-blocking benefits likely come from yogurt’s concentration of gut-healthy probiotics, like Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus, which may reduce levels of cancer-causing compounds. 

As well, researchers say, yogurt may resolve gut barrier dysfunction and exert anti-inflammatory effects on mucous membranes in the colon. 

So, next time you’re at the grocery store, spend a little extra time browsing around the refrigerated section. While this study did not discriminate between yogurt brands, that doesn’t mean you can dig into any creamy, delicious option you want. 

Many mainstream yogurts are absolutely LOADED with sugar and fat, so opt for one with minimal amounts of each. Plain, non-fat Greek yogurt is a good go-to snack – and a solid source of protein — but the taste and texture aren’t for everyone.  

To add a bit of sweetness (without going overboard on added sugars), try mixing in some fresh fruit or honey.
