It’s not that tea is “bad” … but it turns out that drinking tea during a meal can interfere with your body’s ability to absorb iron and zinc from the foods you eat.
Iron and zine are two extremely important nutrients, especially for seniors. Zinc helps your immune system function properly, and iron helps your body make red blood cells that carry oxygen throughout the body.
If you’re already drinking tea on a regular basis, keep it up!
