[Warning] Secret Problem is DESTROYING Your Heart

Look, it’s no secret that we all need sleep — and that we’re definitely not getting enough of it.

Cellphones, late-night talk shows, and 24-hour movie marathons are keeping us up later than ever…

And most nights, too many of us toss and turn… struggling to get even a bit of rest.

It’s miserable.

And even more than that… it’s DANGEROUS.

Because according to the latest research, getting less than the recommended eight hours of shuteye can do more than make you a morning grouch.

It can put your very LIFE on the line…

By UPPING your risk of devastating heart trouble.

Here’s the data.

In the study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, researchers used actigraphs, small devices that monitor movement and activity, to track the sleep/wake patterns of close to 4,000 adults over seven days.

Then, each of the participants underwent ultrasounds and CT scans to look for heart disease…

And those who got less than six hours of sleep per night were a whopping 27 PERCENT more likely to have atherosclerosis, the dangerous hardening of arteries behind most heart attacks.

Plus, compared to those who slept soundly, people with a poor quality of sleep – measured in how many times they woke and how often they tossed and turned – had a 34 PERCENT higher risk of atherosclerosis!

Unfortunately, these findings are backed up by previous reports with similar results… and while the obvious solution may be to just “get more” sleep…

That’s easier said than done.

Age and loss of shuteye are related through a variety of reasons – notably, changes in your body’s production of the “sleep hormone,” melatonin — and unfortunately, most people turn to mainstream meds for relief.

But that’s NOT a good idea, because another recent study (published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience) has just found that dangerous benzodiazepines (or benzos) can dull your senses and slow your ability to react to stimuli…

Even something as LOUD as a vacuum or as LIFE-SAVING as a fire alarm!

Just imagine what terrifying consequences that could have…

(Gives me the chills just thinking about it.)

Instead, you should opt for safe natural alternatives like valerian and melatonin– available in supplement form at your local pharmacy — or chamomile tea.

Each one has been shown to have calming or sedative properties that – along with a few simple lifestyle changes — can help ease you into a lasting, gentle sleep.

Limit coffee, alcohol, and exposure to bright lights (especially from your cellphone or TV) before bedtime to maximize their benefits and help your brain wind down.
