[Warning] Gout Drug Linked To Early Death

As we’ve discussed time and again, mainstream meds are far from infallible.

Over the years, we’ve dug into how far too many are causing dangerous (even deadly) side effects and how you’re – frankly – better off without them.

And now, it’s time to add YET ANOTHER to the junk pile… 

Because the latest research reveals that one med, a popular gout drug released a decade ago, could actually be KILLING its users… upping their risk of devastating heart conditions and messing with their mortality!

And here’s the kicker…

THE FDA STILL DOESN’T CARE.

I’ll explain why (and how it’s getting away with it) in a moment, so stay tuned…

But you’re going to want to see the specs on this.

First off, goutis an arthritic condition that occurs when uric acid builds up in the body, and as sufferers know, it’s incredibly painful— practically debilitating.

It’s so bad that many sufferers are willing to do ANYTHING to get some relief, including turn to the drug febuxostat…

Even though it could be dangerous.

In the study, dubbed the CARES trial, researchers followed more than 6,000 patients being treated with either febuxostat (sold under the brand name Uloric) or another gout drug, allopurinol (Zyloprim), for up to seven years.

And by the trial’s end, differences between the two drugs became GLARINGLYobvious.

Because while both showed comparable risks for heart attack and stroke…

Patients taking febuxostat were 34 PERCENT more likely to DIE from a heart issue!

Plus, compared to the allopurinol group, their risk of all-cause mortality was an astonishing 22 PERCENT HIGHER…

Increasing their risk of dying from ANYTHING by almost a quarter!

To me, that’s just heartbreaking…

But what is the FDA doing about it?

Practically NOTHING!

Instead of pulling this obviously life-threatening drug from pharmacy shelves, it’s slapping an extra warning on the med and calling it a day… recommending that febuxostat only be used as a “second-line” treatment should allopurinol fail or cause severe side effects.

Huh.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to thank a federal agency for doing the bare minimum…

ESPECIALLY when its recommendations aren’t exactly binding!

(Not to mention, all of this seems awfully convenient for maker Takeda, which raked in about $2 billion in Uloric sales from 2012 to 2017…)

Fortunately for you, pharma-free alternatives like vitamin C (which helps oust uric acid) and tart cherry (which can tamp down the pain) help manage your gout – WITHOUT corrupt corporate interests.
