In a recent clinical trial, researchers from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland studied the health of folks who eat both eggs and meat from chickens given an omega-3 rich diet.
After careful analysis, they found that folks who eat at least three serving of either protein had improved blood levels of omega-3 fatty acids — just like when you eat fish.
And having higher omega-3 levels is scientifically proven to reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, cancer and even improve your brain health.
Experts report that omega-3s are so good for you because they help lower inflammation in the body.
You can get omega-3 enriched eggs and chicken meat at your local grocer. Look for brands like Organic Valley and Eggland’s Best.
