THIS Mouth Problem is DESTROYING Your Brain! (Shocking)

Let’s be honest. We ALL slack on our oral hygiene every now and again. (It’s okay to admit it…)

And much to your dentist’s chagrin, we’ve all been guilty of not brushing our teeth as long as we should, or not flossing daily.

We all have busy lives and sometimes the last thing we want to do is spend precious time taking care of our teeth and gums.

But here’s the thing…

NOT taking care of your teeth and gums can lead to WAY MORE problems than discolored teeth, chronic bad breath, gingivitis, and even gum disease.

In fact, slacking on the proper care for your mouth could end up DESTROYING your brain.

That’s right, new research has found that people battling gum disease are more likely to suffer from life-crippling DEMENTIA!

According to information recently released by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), the same bacteria that cause gum disease is ALSO associated with the development of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

So, what’s the connection between the gums and the brain?

It all has to do with INFLAMMATION – the key driver of ALL disease.

You see, gum disease is the result of infection of the oral tissues holding your teeth in place. And when you have this condition, you may experience bleeding gums, loose teeth, and even tooth loss.

The nasty side effects of gum disease breed bacteria and inflammatory molecules that travel from infections in your mouth… through your bloodstream… directly to your brain where they WREAK HAVOC.

If that’s not enough to send you running to grab your toothbrush or floss, I don’t know what is!

But there’s good news…

You can easily prevent gum disease AND the severe health complications surrounding it in just a few minutes each day… none of which require expensive gels, pastes, or agonizing trips to the dentist!

And here’s a little secret your dentist isn’t telling you… you don’t have to skimp on the foods you like to eat, either!

Your first weapon against gum disease is getting ‘back to basics.’ You know, the stuff your dentist has nagged you about for years.

There’s no substitute for optimal oral hygiene and gum health like brushing at least twice daily, and flossing regularly.

Also, make sure to replace your toothbrush regularly. I replace mine at least every three months and I opt for toothbrushes that have soft or extra-soft bristles.

There are also a TON of foods out there (delicious ones, too) that are good for your teeth and gums.

Fiber-rich fruits like apples, bananas, oranges, and strawberries help keep your teeth and gums clean. About 20 minutes after you eat something that has sugars or starches, your saliva begins to reduce the effects of the acids and enzymes attacking your teeth.

Cheese is another winner in the tooth game. The calcium in cheese, and the calcium and phosphates in milk and other dairy products, help put back minerals your teeth might have lost due to other foods. They also help rebuild tooth enamel.
