The REAL Enemy of Weight Loss – Revealed!

The older we get, the more weight loss seems like a thing of the past. 

Some weeks, it just doesn’t matter how little you eat or how much your stomach grumbles. The number on your bathroom scale doesn’t budge…  

Your pants still don’t fit…  

And no matter which mainstream fad or diet you follow, it seems like NOTHING CHANGES! 

Well, today I’m here with an answer…  

Because these weight-loss blunders just AREN’T YOUR FAULT! 

Two eye-opening studies have identified the REAL reason you can’t lose weight… the silent ENEMY stopping you from getting the strong, lean body you’ve always wanted. 

It’s not lack of effort, lack of discipline, or indulging in dessert every once in a while… 

In fact, it’s not anything you’d expect… 

It’s actually STRESS! 

See, when you’re on a calorie-restrictive diet – the kind BELOVED by mainstream fitness nuts and “weight-loss experts” – your body produces higher amounts of cortisol, the stress hormone that dictates how you deal with nerve-wracking or high-stakes situations. 

Day-to-day cortisol functions include helping to manage blood sugar, regulate blood pressure, and maintain immune function… but if you’re routinely releasing TOO MUCH of this hormone (as happens with chronic stress and dieting), it can throw your body out of whack. 

I’m talking about lower bone density, impaired immunity, and poor cognitive performance – and according to researchers, it can even make weight loss IMPOSSIBLE! 

(Heck, you might actually GAIN a few pounds…) 

In a recent study, researchers recruited 40 volunteers and split them into two groups. Members of one were asked to deliver a 10-minute speech to a roomful of strangers, and members of the other were not. 

Now, as you can imagine, folks who had to give a speech were likely TOTALLY STRESSED OUT compared to those who didn’t…  

And when both groups got to enjoy a free, hour-long buffet following these interventions, it absolutely SHOWED! 

On average, speech-givers consumed an additional 34 grams of carbohydrates. 

Plus, in another study – published in Physiology & Behavior – women at a buffet who reported high chronic stress were more likely to consume MORE high-calorie snacks (like decadent chocolate cake) and FEWER vegetables! 

In other words, these subjects were stressed… the same kind of stressed that might come from following a rigid mainstream diet plan… and it made them EAT! 

Experts say that’s because our brains use most of the carbs we consume every day – and when we’re under stress (be it from work, a diet, or money trouble), that usage SKYROCKETS. 

Suddenly, our stressed-out brains used MORE energy and require MORE food to fulfill that need… so we get cravings for cake, carbs, chocolate, and sugar… 

And SABOTAGE our own weight loss! 

It’s like some sort of cruel trick. 

You start dieting to lose weight… the diet puts stress on your body… the stress makes you crave sweets… and eating those sweets RUINS your diet and PACKS ON THE POUNDS 

Enough is enough. 

Skip this endless cycle of stress and frustration by focusing on eating balanced, filling meals – NOT counting calories — and moving around more. 

Moderate exercise is a time-tested way to shed unwanted pounds, and studies show that it can even reduce stress and help curb cravings, making weight loss a whole lot easier.
