According to a study recently published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, adding generous portions of herbs and spices to your food can lower your blood pressure in as little as ONE MONTH.
Lead researchers found that seasoning foods with 6.5 grams, or about 1.3 teaspoons, of herbs and spices a day was linked with lower blood pressure after four weeks.
The study found that consuming the diet that included a high dose of herbs and spices, folks had lower systolic blood pressure than after the diet that only incorporated a small to moderate number of herbs and spices.
The study looked at 24 different herbs and spices, ranging from basil and thyme to cinnamon and turmeric.
