Heck, you’ve probably found yourself stocking your fridge with these ‘healthy’ drinks.
And despite countless research linking diet beverages to stroke, dementia, type 2 diabetes, obesity… the mainstream is still convinced that these drinks are perfectly fine.
But I’m here today to tell you that research has proven that diet soda is TERRIBLE for you once again.
Diet soda – and other drinks loaded with artificial sweeteners – are linked to some SERIOUS heart issues.
According to a new study recently published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, ‘high consumers’ of artificially sweetened beverages were 20% MORE LIKELY to develop cardiovascular disease at any point in their life compared to those that skipped out on the diet drinks.
And what exactly constitutes a ‘high consumer’? Well, it’s less than you probably think.
It turns out that high consumption is drinking just two or more of these ‘healthy’ drinks per day… YIKES!
But there is good news. Even if you LOVE diet soda, it’s entirely possible to kick this unhealthy vice to the curb… WITHOUT sacrificing taste.

And there’s a 2012 study that said drinking even just MODERATE amounts of coffee lowered the risk of heart failure than those who didn’t drink any coffee.
So even if you’re not a Java head, consider reaching for the coffee instead of that nasty diet soda. Your body will thank you!
