SOLVED: The Great Breakfast Debate

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day…”

You’ve probably heard this saying a thousand times.

From your mom to your spouse to even your doctor — everyone seems to think that eating breakfast is one of the best ways to stay healthy.

While the experts have gone back and forth on this for decades — some saying it’s the key to staying healthy and some saying it’s not — it now looks like the answer is clear…

Because Israeli researchers have just revealed exactly how eating (or not eating) breakfast affects your health.

And trust me — it’s not pretty!

In a recent study, scientists from the Tel Aviv University studied the health of 36 diabetic volunteers, some of whom were obese, to see how breakfast affected their metabolism and blood sugar. 

On the first day the participants ate breakfast and lunch. And the next day they skipped breakfast and ate only lunch.

All participants had their blood sugar, insulin and genetic activity measured during both days.

After close analysis, the researchers found that skipping breakfast seriously damages your genetics and blood sugar.

Because when you skip breakfast your “weight loss” genes get shut off. This can lead to imbalances in your blood sugar and insulin — two of the key drivers behind diabetes and weight gain.

But you can stop all of this…

All you have to do is eat a meal before 9:30 in the morning. This quickly activates your “weight loss” genes, which can boost your metabolism and help you shed excess pounds and fight off Type 2 diabetes.

Experts report that these incredible findings should put the great breakfast debate to rest for good — you clearly should be eating breakfast every day.

But breakfast foods can vary greatly in nutrition and taste. Your best bet is to stay away from sugary cereals and refined carbs if you care about your blood sugar.

Instead, kick your day off with a protein-packed meal like a hearty plate of eggs, bacon and avocado. This will keep you full and your blood sugar balanced throughout the morning.
