Nighttime Habit Causing Diabetes?
If you’ve got diabetes, you know how important it is to keep your blood sugar in check.
So you count calories, avoid processed foods, and try to get more exercise.
But, as it turns out, there’s just one bad habit that can RUIN all of your efforts…
And it could be the root cause of your blood sugar and weight problems, too.
Fortunately, it’s incredibly easy to stop.
Maybe you sleep with the t.v on… or read on your phone or tablet in bed…or use a night light.
If you’re doing any of these, it’s likely sending your blood sugar through the roof.
Health experts have known for years that nighttime light exposure can really mess up your metabolism because it lowers your melatonin levels — a hormone vital for blood sugar regulation.
But it wasn’t until this latest study that they realized it could be the driving force behind your diabetes.
For the study researchers from Northwestern University split 20 healthy adults into two groups.
One group slept in total darkness, and the other slept in a dark with a light source similar to a t.v. or tablet.
Both groups slept in these rooms for three days and two nights. All participants had eight hours of sleep time each nights. Melatonin and blood sugar samples were collected during the nights.

This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
Are we literally FEEDING cancer cells by putting this one food on our dinner plates?
This is important. THIS one food could be growing cancer cells.
And here’s where it gets interesting… as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death — and die out by the thousands.
Skeptical? See the evidence here.
The results show that just one night of sleep with light exposure can a have a significant impact on your blood sugar!
In fact, it leads to increased Insulin resistance — the precursor to diabetes— and weight gain.
The reason? Nighttime light imbalances your melatonin levels.
Luckily, it’s super easy to get them back on track.
Just avoid lights in the bedroom. Turn off the t.v. before sleep. Use blackout curtains if you live on a well-lit street.
And consider wearing blue-light-blocking glasses at night to filter out this harmful light. Uvex makes several different models of these glasses, which you can buy at www.amazon.com.
