[Must Try] 2 Diabetes-CRUSHING Drinks That Taste Amazing

It’s no secret that dialing back on unhealthy food and drink can put you on the fast track to a longer, healthier life.

But if you or a loved one is living with diabetes, eating and drinking the right things can literally be a matter of life or DEATH!

The wrong combination can make your blood sugar SKYROCKET…

And even if you eat the right things to keep your diabetes in check, you’re usually stuck washing it down with a boring, BLAND drink.

Meanwhile, family and friends are rubbing it in your face by drinking things you’ve been told are OFF LIMITS!

Like delicious sweet tea… bubbly soda… and even fruity adult beverages like sangria.

But I’m here to tell that your taste buds DON’T need to suffer at the expense of keeping your diabetes in check.

Luckily for you, there are TONS of diabetes-crushing drinks out there that not only taste DELICIOUS… but are also easy to find.

And there’s no better time to give these refreshing drinks a try… especially with the summer heat and humidity fast approaching.

Here are two of my favorites…

Water… With a Twist

Water is the best thing anyone can drink… especially for folks with diabetes.

Water won’t raise your blood sugar levels, which can cause dehydration. And drinking enough water can help your body eliminate excess glucose through urine.

But let’s face it… water is BORING! But it doesn’t have to be.

Give your water a fresh ‘twist’ by…

  • Adding slices of lemon, lime, or orange
  • Adding sprigs of flavorful herbs, such as mint, basil, or lemon balm
  • Crushing a couple of fresh or frozen raspberries into your drink

You can also find plenty of carbonated waters NATURALLY flavored with fruit at practically every grocery store these days. They have zero calories, zero sugar, and are usually ‘essenced’ with natural fruits like lime, lemon, and even raspberries.

These are my ‘go-to’ drink.

Coffee

There’s plenty of research out there that shows drinking coffee can help lower your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Folks who drink 2 to 3 cups per day see their risk sharply decline. And it’s even true for people who drank 4 or more cups per day.

And this applies to BOTH caffeinated and decaffeinated coffees, so if caffeine makes you jittery, feel free to grab a cup of decaf.

And even on a hot day, you can drink an iced coffee to quench your thirst.
