This Morning Mistake Could Wreck Your Heart

To breakfast or not to breakfast — that is the question.

For years, we’ve been listening to nutrition experts waffle back and forth on whether eating breakfast or skipping breakfast is the key to staying healthy.

But now the answer is clear…

Because researchers from Tufts University have discovered that a hearty breakfast could be the key to staying trim and even stopping heart disease in its tracks.

For the study, scientists divided over 4,000 folks, into three groups. Some skipped breakfast, some ate a light breakfast and others ate a hearty breakfast.

At the end of the trial, the researchers found that folks who skipped or ate a light breakfast had a greater risk of developing hardening of the arteries.

Even worse, these folks were more likely to be obese and have an overall unhealthy lifestyle.

All of these factors can set you up for serious health issues including heart disease, heart attack, stroke and even diabetes.

Experts report that skipping breakfast is so detrimental to your health because it signals the body to go into starvation mode, which messes up your blood sugar and can ultimately lead to weight gain.

And it looks like eating light foods like a breakfast bar or just a piece of fruit won’t do the trick either.

You need to enjoy a full hearty breakfast like eggs and bacon or oatmeal topped with butter to see real results.
