"Miracle Pill" Has Hidden Heart, Cancer Risk
Dear Turapür Today Reader,
It’s no secret that antibiotics come with major health risks.
They’ve been linked to everything from nasty infections to serious stomach problems.
But as it turns out, antibiotics could be messing up your health in more serious ways.
You see, Danish researchers have just found that antibiotics may actually keep your body from absorbing a key, disease-fighting food.
And believe it or not — this could send your risk for heart problems or cancer through the roof.
Whole grains are good for you, because they’re rich in a special compound called lignans.
And once digested, lignans turn into enterolignans, which have been shown to help your body fight coronary heart disease, cholesterol problems and even certain cancers.
However, it looks like antibiotic use can drop your enterolignan levels drastically — making you a sitting duck for these deadly diseases.
In the study, researchers from Aarhus University and the Danish Cancer Society examined the enterolignan blood levels and antibiotic use of more than 2,200 participants diagnosed with cancer.
After crunching the numbers, the researchers found something incredible…
Antibiotics significantly reduce enterolignan blood levels.
In fact, some women who had used antibiotics three months prior to blood sampling experienced a whopping 40 percent drop in enterolignan levels.
This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
Are we literally FEEDING cancer cells by putting this one food on our dinner plates?
This is important. THIS one food could be growing cancer cells.
And here’s where it gets interesting... as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death -- and die out by the thousands.
Skeptical? See the evidence here.
This means that taking just one course of antibiotics can affect your health for several months after — leaving you more susceptible to heart disease and cancer.
Experts believe antibiotics are so detrimental to your enterolignan levels because they knock your gut bacteria out of balance, which could also affect your levels of other food-based compounds.
Antibiotics are often overprescribed for viral infections, which they cannot kill. Be sure to ask your doc exactly what they are prescribing antibiotics for before agreeing to take them.
Additionally, loading your diet with prebiotic foods, like onions and garlic, and probiotic foods, like fermented veggies, is a great way to counter the negative impact antibiotics have on your gut health.
Or you can take probiotic supplements, which are available at your local pharmacy.
