You sure shouldn’t ever have to think that! After all, you count on medicine cabinet ‘staples’ like toothpaste and deodorant are supposed to keep you clean and hygienic.
Well, according to a shocking, new finding… it turns out that something sitting in your medicine cabinet RIGHT NOW is laced with a dangerous, cancer-causing agent!
Here’s everything you need to know… including a MUCH healthier alternative.
According to a report by the prominent, independent testing pharmacy Valisure, it has found high levels of benzene (a known carcinogen) in numerous brands and batches of body spray and deodorant spray products, including popular name brands like Old Spice, Secret, Suave, Tag and others.
Benzene is an industrial chemical that has been associated with the development of several fatal forms of cancer – including leukemia.
As a result of the findings, Valisure announced it filed a petition with the FDA, calling for deodorant and body spray recalls of the affected products.
What’s important to note here is that the levels of benzene are directly linked to sprays – not traditional roll-on deodorants.

So, if you use spray deodorants or body sprays, here’s what you need to do.
First, don’t panic! Review the petition with the FDA and see if the brand you use is listed. If it is, simply throw it out.
Second, consider trying a non-aerosol variety of deodorant. Since this consumer alert is directly tied to spray deodorants, swapping the spray variety for a more traditional kind is a good first step.
Third, take time to read labels. Most mainstream brands of deodorant and antiperspirants contain aluminum and other chemicals. But there are many, natural varieties of deodorant out there that also work well… and many can be found at your local pharmacy, big box store, or grocery store.
Looks for brands that say ‘aluminum-free’ or ‘paraben-free’ – this will ensure that it has very few (if any) chemicals in it.
