Live LONGER With This “Hole-In-One” Hobby
Dear Turapür Today Reader,
Tell a conventional doc that you want to live longer… well into your 80s, 90s, and beyond… and he’ll come back with a shrug and a blank stare.
He’ll say it’s impossible to guarantee those extra years. He’ll stutter and struggle to come up with an answer… and as you’re walking out the door, he’ll half-heartedly suggest you “eat better” and “exercise more.”
But that’s just doctor-speak.
Here’s what he really means: “I don’t have a dang CLUE!”
Fortunately, new research finds that there’s an incredibly easy and enjoyable way to LIVE LONGER… and unlike lousy mainstream suggestions, it DOESN’T involve changing your diet or hitting the gym.
All you’ve got to do is hit the links.
In the study, presented to the American Stroke Association last month, researchers analyzed data from the Cardiovascular Health Study, a project that tracked heart issues in more than 5,000 seniors.
Throughout the original study, participants were regularly surveyed about their health issues, and they underwent extensive exams twice per year for 10 years…
And by the end, researchers saw something amazing.
Folks who played golf just ONCE PER MONTH were less likely to die during that 10-year period!
Specifically, just 15.1 percent of golfers died, while that number rose to 24.6 percent in non-golfers – a difference of almost 10 percentage points!
That’s a pretty significant number… but since this was an observational study, researchers can’t say for sure that golfing had a direct impact. However, here’s what we know:
This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
Are we literally FEEDING cancer cells by putting this one food on our dinner plates?
This is important. THIS one food could be growing cancer cells.
And here’s where it gets interesting... as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death -- and die out by the thousands.
Skeptical? See the evidence here.
Golfing is a relatively low-impact, accessible sport. Compared to other forms of exercise – like jogging on the treadmill or using an elliptical – golf is easy on older folks’ bodies.
Almost anyone can play, which makes it a great way to stay active without exhausting yourself. Plus, it’s competitive, which helps keep you energized and motivated.
Most people play with friends. Solitude and social isolation are big issues for seniors. Some estimates suggest that 1 in 3 older adults are lonely — and that’s more than just a mental or emotional issue.
Chronic loneliness can shorten life expectancy, cause depression, and encourage brain drain… however, many people play golf with their friends or loved ones, helping to UNDO those lonely feelings.
And finally, golf is a great stress-reliever. Stress and anxiety are known for taking a toll on your body and weakening your immune system, but researchers suggest that playing golf can help folks unwind – helping relieve the effects of stress.
So, hit the links! Invite a few friends and loved ones and schedule a monthly day on the fairway.
It could be a hole-in-one for your health.
