In fact, a study out of Sheffield Halam University in England determined that three 10-minute brisk walks a day is better than 10,000 steps (five miles) a day!
How is that possible?
Well, the study took volunteers who wanted to get in shape and split them into two groups. The first group was asked to get in 10,000 steps a day while the others were asked to do up to 30 minutes of brisk walking a day.
Only two out of every three volunteers in the first group were able to complete their task, finding it very difficult.
It’s almost impossible to find the time or energy to get that many steps in a day.
