Ditch the ‘Fizzy’ Stuff
Carbonated drinks can be very refreshing. But for people with IBS, they can lead to some serious flare-ups.
Carbonated beverages can seriously hamper your IBS management by contributing to gas buildup in the abdominal region. And if it can’t get passed, it accumulates. This leads to bloating and discomfort, including sharp pains in the midsection.
It’s best for folks with IBS to eliminate ‘fizzy’ drink from their diet and instead drink more calming drinks like herbal teas or water.
