And rightfully so!
While there’s nothing wrong with celebrating the holidays with your favorite ‘adult’ beverage, it’s important that you do so responsibly.

But according to some new research, too much alcohol can be a trigger for a potentially DEADLY heart condition.
Here’s everything you need to know… and why it’s still okay to celebrate (in moderation).
According to a research study from the University of California-San Francisco, alcohol is a major trigger for arterial fibrillation (AFib) – the most common form of irregular heartbeat which can put you at risk for heart attack or stroke down the road.
Arterial fibrillation can be caused by a number of different factors – including lack of sleep, caffeine, poor diet, and alcohol… with caffeine usually being the most commonly associated risk factor to developing AFib.
But this latest study aimed to identify other triggers for AFib… and they found that alcohol was the sole factor that always resulted in significantly more self-reported bouts of AFib.

If you know you will be going to multiple parties or celebrations this holiday season, perhaps only drink at 1-2 of them. And if you do choose to drink, be sure to limit yourself.
