Do you have this Heart Attack Trigger?

If you’ve ever had a heart attack or stroke, you already know how terrifying it can be.

One minute you’re eating dinner with your family… and the next you’re in the back of ambulance fighting for your life.

And even if you’re lucky enough to survive it, you’ll be more likely to have another one.

Your best bet is to avoid having a heart attack or stroke in the first place.

Fortunately, that just a lot easier to do.

Because Duke University researchers have just pinpointed a disease that’s now considered a major heart attack trigger.

And getting a handle on it now is the key to a heart-healthy future.

Gout — a type of arthritis caused by the buildup of uric acid — is already linked to diabetes, cancer, and kidney disease.

Now it looks like heart attack and stroke can be added to that list, too.

In a recent study, heart experts analyzed data from more than 17,000 heart disease patients, looking for a link between gout and heart attack risk.

And boy, did they find one!

At the end, the scientists found that suffering from gout can increase your heart attack or stroke risk by a whopping 15%!

Even worse? Experiencing one case of gout DOUBLES your risk of heart failure.

This means that having gout just once in your life can put you on the fast track to serious heart issues!

Experts report that gout is so detrimental to your heart because it drastically increases inflammation levels in your body.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

You can lower your risk of gout by enjoying things like red meat, sugary foods and alcohol in moderation. And by increasing your intake of cherries, coffee and vitamin C rich produce.

Additionally, regular exercise and staying hydrated can help manage this heart-triggering disease.
