Researchers report cinnamon increases the level of brain-boosting proteins called CREB in the hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for learning. Slow learners have lower levels of CREB, so this boost is vital for quicker learning.
Additionally, the cinnamon lowered the level of a nasty protein called GABRA5 that inhibits certain brain functions that are critical for learning.
