No… today, you need to know the TRUTH behind one of the biggest weight-loss scams around.

It’s a blatant LIE spread by the mainstream “health food market”… a TALL TALE trick designed to sell diet products and boost Big Food sales…

And according to new research, this popular advice (doled out by trusted docs and fitness gurus) WON’T help you lose those stubborn extra pounds.

Instead, it could make you EVEN BIGGER!

The truth of the matter?

Drinking diet soda won’t do A THING to improve your health or boost your body!

Now, over the past few years, more and more soft drink corporations have joined in on the diet craze… coming out with “healthier” alternatives to your favorite high-sugar, high-calorie sodas… and mainstream docs have jumped on the bandwagon, urging patients to make the switch.

Unfortunately, many folks have been fooled into thinking these beverages will help them slim down…

But just because they’re “better for you” (in terms of calories and sugar, anyway), that doesn’t mean they’re actually GOOD for you.

As I’ve shared before, many diet drinks are absolutely LOADED with artificial sweeteners… chemicals like aspartame that have been linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, and more…

And as new research reveals, they probably WON’T help you shed those last few pounds.

In fact, they could make you GAIN weight!

In that study, published in Current Atherosclerosis Reports, Australian researchers found that folks who choose diet sodas or beverages aren’t actually cutting their sugar intake…

Instead, they’re still quietly consuming normal amounts of sugar… likely getting it from snacks and treats they think they’ve “earned” or “saved” by choosing a diet drink!

And you can probably guess what that means…

Some of these people wind up GAINING WEIGHT!

To make matters worse, experts suggest that artificial sweeteners may alter the delicate bacteria in drinkers’ guts… making it MORE LIKELY they’ll gain extra weight or develop diabetes!

If you’re looking to get healthier this year, that’s the exact OPPOSITE of what you want, as diabetes and obesity can lead to deadly heart disease down the line…

And frankly, losing weight doesn’t have to be this complicated. You don’t need to risk the repercussions of mainstream diet drinks or fad products.

All you’ve got to do is exercise a bit more – like taking a 30-minute walk once per day – and rein in a few bad habits. For example:

  • Quit eating when you’re full. It sounds easy enough, but many folks mindlessly over-eat due to stress, boredom, and social pressure.
  • Stop looking at screens before bed. The blue light emitted from TVs, cellphones, and tablets can trigger unhealthy sugar cravings.
  • Don’t eat “diet” anything. Stick to a natural, balanced diet without processed snacks and foods. If you’re thirsty, opt for water flavored with lemon or another fruit – NOT fruit juice, soda, or “low-cal” beverages.
