“Diet Hack” LOWERS Coronavirus Risk?

Coronavirus vaccines are here… and they’re being rolled out to millions of Americans as we speak.
And while the vaccine is welcome news, one thing is for certain… the risk of infection won’t be going away anytime soon.
This means that things like social distancing… wearing masks… handwashing… and the frequent use of hand sanitizer will continue to be our standard protocol for now.
But if you’re looking for another way to stay safe during the age of COVID-19, there is some good news.
According to new research, fending off some of the worst risks of the virus could be as simple as this “diet hack.”
According to a new breakthrough study out of California, people with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids have a lower risk of dying from COVID-19.
Researchers from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles examined blood samples from 100 patients admitted with COVID-19. They then looked at their Omega-3 Index (which is called O3I), and grouped patients by their O3I levels… ranging from highest to lowest.
Of those 100 patients admitted for COVID, 14 of them died.
BUT, the researchers found that patients with the highest levels of O3I were 75% less likely to die compared with those with lower O3I levels.

And here’s where it gets interesting... as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death -- and die out by the thousands.

Meaning, the risk for death was nearly four times higher in those with low levels of omega-3 fatty acids compared to those with higher levels.
So making sure you are getting adequate levels of omega-3 fatty acids could protect you against severe complications of the virus.
Remember, inflammation is the root of all illness and disease, and omega-3 fatty acids are PACKED with potent anti-inflammatory properties
If you’re concerned that you’re not getting enough omega-3’s in your diet, it’s not too late to start getting more.
Fish like salmon and tuna are great (and tasty) sources of omega-3 fatty acids. You can also find omega-3 fatty acid supplements like fish oil at your local pharmacy or grocery store. Just be sure to stick to the recommended dosage on the label.
