[RECALL EXPANDED] Cancer Agent Found in Diabetes Drug?!
Dear Turapür Today Reader,
If you’re diabetic, you already know that Big Pharma’s favorite blood sugar drugs come with a boatload of nasty side effects.
I’m talking about everything from skin rashes… to weight gain… even liver issues.
And now there’s something else you need to worry about, too.
The FDA has recently announced ANOTHER expansion of an earlier recall of a popular diabetes drug… because it contains high levels of a CANCER-CAUSING agent!
As a reader of Turapür Today, I’ve clued you in on all the details about this recall… which dates all the way back to last fall.
In case you missed my earlier updates, here’s everything you need to know.According to a recall published in October 2020 by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), multiple pharmaceutical companies are recalling metformin extended-release tablets.
This is because of their high levels of NDMA, a “probable human carcinogen“.
The FDA announced that the recall applies to the following products, which can be identified by their National Drug Code numbers listed below (National Drug Codes can be used to search and identify products online through the FDA).
The tablets are either embossed with 101 or 102 on one side and are plain on the other.
Now for the second time in 2021, and the FDA has decided to EXPAND that recall to include the following:
Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets, USP 750mg:
This Food Could Be Growing Deadly Tumors
Are we literally FEEDING cancer cells by putting this one food on our dinner plates?
This is important. THIS one food could be growing cancer cells.
And here’s where it gets interesting... as soon as we STOP eating it, the opposite happens: cancer cells STARVE to death -- and die out by the thousands.
Skeptical? See the evidence here.
- 100 counts: 29033-056-01
The FDA also has more information about the recall on their website, including more details about its initial recall back in 2020 (which we’ve listed below):
Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets, USP 500mg:
- 90 counts: 49483-623-09
- 100 counts: 49483-623-01
- 500 counts: 49483-623-50
- 1000 counts: 49483-623-10
Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets, USP 750mg:
- 100 counts: 49483-624-01
That’s the latest on the metformin recall.
In the meantime, what should you be doing if you’re currently taking metformin to regulate your diabetes?
The first thing you need to do is not panic.
Instead, make time to speak with your doctor about the recall and what it means for your current treatment.
This can be as simple as a phone call, or even a ‘virtual appointment’ – which many doctors are offering right now as an alternative to in-person visits due to COVID-19.
