In a recent study, researchers from Harvard Medical School analyzed the fiber intake and fecal incontinence in 58,000 participants for 18 years.
At the end, the scientists found that folks who ate the most fiber — an average of 25 grams a day — decreased their risk of developing bowel problems by nearly 20%!
Even better? Folks eating the most fiber had a whopping 31% lower risk of developing fecal incontinence.
That’s nearly a third!
