“Banned” Food STOPS Diabetes!

Two, stick with natural fruits you can find in the produce section or at your local farmer’s market. Steer clear of fruit juices, which are loaded with processed sugar.

Just one cup of blackberries has 14 grams of carbohydrates and packs nearly 8 grams of fiber – which means it scores low on the glycemic index (which is a value used to measure how much specific foods increase blood sugar levels). 

Blackberries are a great topping for oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and even taste great plain! I enjoy finding straight-from-the-farm blackberries at my local farmer’s market.
