Breakfast ‘Secret’ STOPS Age-Related Weakness?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Well, she was right!
Especially when it comes it comes to staying strong… even well into old age.
That’s because there’s new research that proves eating a specific combination of foods at BREAKFAST is your best bet to building and maintaining muscle strength.
According to a research study out of Japan, eating protein early in the day (specifically during breakfast) helps build stronger muscles than eating protein at night!
Eating protein on a daily basis is critical to maintaining your body’s muscle mass and overall strength, which can help prevent age-related weakness.
Proteins also consist of long-chain amino acids that promote the growth of your skeletal muscles which essentially help your body ‘move.’
But why is eating protein in the morning better than during the evening?
It all has to do with the circadian rhythm – which is your body’s internal biological clock.
The circadian rhythm controls your metabolism, sleep cycle, and overall development.
But as the day wears on, your circadian rhythm tends to ‘slow down’ to ready your body for sleep. But this also means your body is less efficient at absorbing vital proteins.
So, eating a good supply of protein with your morning breakfast will ensure your body is absorbing it correctly to help you stay strong and healthy.

And I don’t know about you, but breakfast ‘proteins’ like bacon, sausage, and eggs are some of the best foods out there!
One of my ‘go-to’ ways to eat protein at breakfast is making casseroles packed with eggs, meats like bacon or sausage, cheese, and spinach – which are all foods packed with protein that will keep you full and nourished throughout the morning.
And best of all, many can be made in advance so you can quickly and easily serve yourself breakfast during the week.
